Read what things were & are being done to ONE family by "YOUR" elected county officials. "THEN
SIGN THE PETITION THAT STOPS THEM COLD."
16 SEPARATE OCCASIONS NOTED HERE and there were MANY more.
First: The Vezzoso’s in 1990, were written a code compliance letter and citation. Went to court and a deal is reached with the county for themselves and others including Mark Bean the then building and planning director. If you have 5 or 5 + acres, you can keep up to 10 pcs. Of equipment on your property.
Then: In 2006 the Vezzoso’s are cited with the exact same thing, due to an anonymous complaint. But they have an agreement right? NO, the county now contends, no such arrangement was made and they have NO records of the court hearing, they’re conveniently lost and they say, "even if a deal was made it’s not legal now. The Vezzoso’s get a response for the county including over 5 persons testimony, 4 respected business people and one judge, saying yes the deal was made. The county makes the Vezzoso’s move all there equipment from where they’ve operated Independent Trucking for over 25 years.
Next: There’s another anonymous complaint, about a goat tied to a tree. The Vezzoso’s respond. "No, no goats tied to a tree." County comes to the property and inspects, yup, no goat tied up, but a pet goat’s playing with hay twine.
Again: There’s another anonymous complaint, about Vezzoso’s intentionally putting a pig pen in right next to a neighbors fence. County visits, finds it’s been there a while. Gee wrong again, BUT, must have gutters and downspouts and underlying drainage for the hog sheds roof? How many pig farmers do that???
Once Again: There’s another anonymous complaint, about poor feeding of animals. Again, county visits, not true again.
Again: The county says the "No Trespass" sign is in county right of way. A letter to "whom it may concern," from Larry Gerbaz states, Prior owner who had ALL property rights to the roadway transferred to the county, with NO right of ways inclusive and only maintenance of the road is allowed. County ignores that. There is NO county right of way.
Next: County receives another anonymous complaint. And Vezzoso’s are accused of flooding a neighbors property. So, county investigates with Mr. Kenney Gardner a county road and bridge employee. He notifies the county that the standing water is due to the road slope and is normal.
Now yet Again: The Garfield county attorney called Div. Of Wastewater Resources and complained of the unauthorized water use. The inspector came to the property and of course the Vezzoso’s passed inspection.
Next: Came Colorado State Ag. On an anonymous complaint, concerning animal feeding operations, the Vezzoso’s of course passed, they’ve raised cows and pigs and goats & had horses since day one, over 25 years ago.
Then: The county tells Vezzoso’s the water that is adjudicated from 1899 to their property and is on their deed of trust, is county property. When did that happen.
Again: An anonymous complaint and the Div. Of Water Resources came, and of course the Vezzoso’s passed.
Okay: Now the one neighbor of the two who have caused all of this so far and the county, take photos of the Vezzoso's, every time they work outside of the house?
Then: Mike Kennedy shot the Vezzoso's dog and calls the sheriff to says it was chasing their livestock and the county issued the Vezzoso's a ticket for their dog chasing livestock.
Now: Comes a brush wildfire and Bill Vezzoso fights it and the 75+ mile an hour wind, knocks down a portion of his block wall, stucco fence. Another anonymous complaint and Bill’s fence is red-tagged, can’t repair it. His cow’s of course can’t be kept in. Fence is according to all codes "legal."
County takes pictures of him cleaning it up and then on a weekend ( overtime ) take photos of him repairing it. Notify Bill’s attorney that a warrant has been issued for him. It was not acted upon.
Yet Again: Now Bill’s & Kim’s son Bill Jr. Designs a webpage for all citizens to complain and sign a petition. StopGarcoInjustice and Bill has a banner made.
Again: The county writes a citation for illegal grading and an office trailer ( they call a camper ) and shut down his new yard. His partner, who we will not name, goes to the county and is told, "no problem, you can dirt piles and the office trailer, we didn’t know it was your’s." The county also demanded they take down the banner and said it needed a permit but it doesn't need a permit as the code clearly says it doesn't.
THINK THEY WON’T OR CAN’T DO IT TO YOU??? I’LL BET YOU’RE WRONG! WHO’S NEXT? IS THIS RIGHT??

The Vezzoso’s have filed a suit against the county, citing that fact they have the legal right to be where they originally were for over 25 years. They have supplied the county with a veritable plethora of proof and witnesses stating the county is wrong. The county officials have chosen to ignore ALL testimony and one of those testifying that the Vezzoso’s are right, is a now District Court Judge who was Bill's attorney on record for God’s sake. What will it take to have these officials give back the Vezzoso’s rights and stop persecuting them????? How many times has the county visited your property, in the last two years??? We look forward to seeing your supporting comments.
