To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Bruce Hammer and I have lived in the valley and worked personally with Bill Vezzoso for over twenty years. In 1991 I attended court with Bill Vezzoso regarding storage of his heavy equipment used for his business. I waited with him in the hall while the now Judge Gannett who then represented Joe Zamora worked out a decision. I remember that the decision in 1991 shut down several businesses including Frogg Excavation because they didn't have enough property and Bill Vezzoso with Joe Zamora and others were allowed to continue on with their businesses because they had over 5 acres of property.
I remember this day very clearly because Bill Vezzoso along with 4 or 5 other contractors were looking at loosing their businesses and only means of making money. It was a big deal then just as it is now. I remember that Bill Vezzoso and Joe Zamora were allowed to keep up to 10 pieces of heavy equipment under this decision.
I think it is horrible what the county is trying to do to Bill. He is an honest and good man. He has only done good things for the county and helped out many people, me included. I was there in 1991 when he had to go through this and it seems like they waited for Buckey to die (the then county commissioner) to try and come after Bill. It just isn't right.
I want to extend an offer to the county to submit to a polygraph test just to prove I was there and it did happen since they keep insisting that it didn't happen. They may not remember, but I do.
